The Rugged Obsidian 9 is a modular 9mm silencer / suppressor optimized for pistols, carbines, and PCCs, and rated for .300 BLK subsonic and 350 Legend with applicable barrel length minimums. In standard configuration it measures 7.8 inches and weighs 12.7 oz. With the ADAPT Module removed it drops to 4.85 inches and 8.7 oz. Both configurations ship with one tax stamp. The Obsidian 9 has a 1.37-inch diameter, which keeps it compatible with standard pistol suppressor-height sights so you can run irons or a red dot without changing your sight setup.

The Rugged Obsidian9 is a versatile, modular pistol-caliber suppressor designed to deliver excellent sound suppression, durability, and configuration flexibility. Built with rugged 17-4 stainless-steel baffles and mount components, the Obsidian9 is belt-fed rated for pistol calibers up to 9mm and can also be used with select subsonic and intermediate cartridges when the specified barrel-length requirements are met.

Its modular design allows the Obsidian9 to be configured in either Standard or Short configuration. The Standard configuration measures 7.8″ and weighs 12.7 oz, while the Short configuration measures just 4.85″ and weighs 8.7 oz—giving users the ability to prioritize maximum suppression or a more compact package.

The suppressor features a hard-coat anodized aluminum tube, 17-4 stainless-steel baffles and mount, and a high-temperature Cerakote finish applied over the entire suppressor for added durability.

Cleaning and Maintenance

The Obsidian 9 is fully user-serviceable. Rugged Silencer / Suppressors recommends cleaning pistons, springs, and baffles with an ultrasonic cleaner using a 50/50 mixture of Purple Power and water for approximately one hour, then removing and allowing to dry. The suppressor tube, ADAPT Module body, front cap, and spring retainer are aluminum and must not be used in an ultrasonic cleaner. Use a non-ammonia based cleaner and brush for those components. When running a booster system, lubricate the outside of the piston with white lithium grease. Check that the suppressor remains securely threaded every 30 rounds during use.
